Donald Trump thinks he can win the support of the Black community. Elle Sagar counts 5 different ways The Don is wrong. Had it not been for much worse comments made by this man, this might be considered the height of political ignorance had it come from say Ted Cruz for instance. Sadly, this only ranks at maybe a 5 on the Scale of Crazy Political Statements. The Don has all but broken that scale.
The time has come for those of us who seek real, fundamental change to go in a new direction. I can't tell you who to vote for, that's not my job. However I can show you the differences between two Parties that share a lot of the same support.
The Green Party and the Democratic Party have a lot of overlapping support in terms of voters and issues. However one party is truly Progressive and the other is looking more and more like it is morphing into the new conservative party as the Republican Party wades in the waters of far-right fascism and totalitarianism. That means Progressives Democrats have a decision to make in the near future. This video seeks to address some of these topics.
There is a tide of far-right movements springing up all around Europe and in America. The recent Brexit referendum is yet another sign of that. While many people wanted to leave, a sizeable minority wanted to stay. The rise of the far right is causing division all around the globe and the United Kingdom is the continuation of a trend that needs to be watched closely.
The recent primary election in Arizona has turned into a mess and is part of a growing list of democratic casualties of the gutting of the Voting Rights Act in 2013 by the Supreme Court. More problems can be expected in the general election as 2016 turns into possibly one of the most cartoonish and dangerously un-democratic elections we've had in quite some time in America.
Also, it's time we had a national discussion about how different the media's (and by extension America's) reaction is to perceived and real threats of violence. Why has the media given Trump a pass on his clear inciting of violence at his rallies? Who stands to gain by this descent into chaos and what does this mean for the future of America? All of these questions will be speculated upon in this 2 for 1 blog entry
In the wake of the Chicago protests that shut down Trump's rally over the weekend, I'm beginning to see a disturbing trend not only in the mainstream media, but also in alternative media (New Media) to apologize for and rationalize the rhetoric of Donald Trump. Not only do I believe this is every bit as dangerous as the rhetoric itself, if you believe in American freedom and liberty and don't want to see this country devolve into anarchism and totalitarianism...you will read this blog post.
